On behalf of the NVvL, the Dutch Association for Aviation, we invite you to participate in the 20th IFASD Conference. This event will be held from 17-20 June 2024 in The Hague, the Netherlands. The venue for the conference is the New Babylon Congress Centre, conveniently located next to the Central Station of The Hague.
The event is open to participants from all over the world, including those from non-member countries.
The International Forum on Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics (IFASD) has been the most important event for engineers and researchers working in the fields of aeroelasticity and structural dynamics since 1981. The Forum takes place biennially:

IFASD 2024 will update you on the state of the art in research activities and industrial practices in the fields of Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics. Specific themes are high and low-fidelity coupled analysis methods, vehicle design using model-based and data-driven models and experimental methods. The Forum is a unique opportunity for scientists, researchers and engineers from academia, research establishments and industry to exchange ideas and discuss new trends and emerging fields and technologies.
The Organizing Committee invites authors to submit abstracts of original works for presentation at the conference on the areas outlined in the following Forum topics:

The theme for IFASD 2024 is Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics in a fast-changing world. The aviation sector is facing a massive challenge: the rapid de-carbonization of the sector. The timelines to achieve this are very ambitious and can only be met by a close collaboration between academia, research establishments and industry. Radically new aircraft configurations using state-of-the-art load and flow control technologies are needed. New forms of air transport are emerging, such as urban air mobility. There are massive challenges, but new computational and experimental methods are also emerging fast and could support generating the needed solutions.
We encourage you to contribute to our event with a paper on a topic that aligns with the IFASD 2024 theme and at least one of the Forum Topics. If selected, we will publish your paper on our permanent website. For ease of reference, we will provide it with a DOI, or Digital Object Identifier, which uniquely identifies your document and which provides it with a permanent web address (URL).
